High School Graduation Ceremony

Silver Oak Academy played host to over 200 quests, students, staff and visitors at our semi-annual high school graduation ceremony.

Silver Oak was honored to have the former Baltimore City Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Walter G. Amprey, as our guest speaker.

Dr. Amprey’s message was well received by the students and guests at Silver Oak Academy. He stressed the important lessons in life that we all need. Dr. Amprey spoke about the importance of always finding something to be thankful for, the importance of having discipline and knowing how to use it in your daily life, the importance respecting the intelligence of others and that everyone has their own brilliance. Silver Oak Academy would like to thank Dr. Amprey for sharing his wisdom with our staff and students; his speech was remarkable and well received by all.

On this day Silver Oak Academy graduated thirteen students who met the Maryland State Department of Education requirements for graduation.

What would a graduation be without the Culinary Arts Program to display its talents? The students took great pride in providing artfully displayed appetizers, cupcakes and refreshments that tasted as good as they looked. Mrs. Davis and the students in the Culinary Arts program exceeded all expections, setting up a spread that no one refused on this day.

Our Music instructor, Mr. Androlonis, and our Jazz Band performed their own song “Spirit of Silver Oak Academy,” and it was so heartfelt that there was not a dry eye in the crowd. Great job student athletes Khiry, Charles, Romar and Daesean.
